The Pelzer Masonic Lodge held their annual Children’s Charity Fund which raises funds for supplies, clothing, and Christmas gifts for 54 kids in the Pelzer and Piedmont areas in South Carolina. The event called, The Captain’s Choice, was hosted by Shriner’s and took place at Saluda Valley Country Club. The RMF team consisted of (left to right): Scott Sargent (Emotional Support Leader and Pelzer Lodge member), Jim Holcombe (Player), Ryan Spencer (Player), Jeremy Holcombe (Player) and Thomas Brown (Player). RMF was the final team to tee off that day and finished 4th place posting a -12 (31 on the front 9 and 29 on the back 9). Some of the highlights from the round: Jeremy provided the team with an eagle on hole 11 when he stuck an incredible approach shot 3 feet away from the pin. Thomas Brown sunk a huge 20 ft eagle putt on hole number 3 that really provided the team momentum. Jim Holcombe got the team going right out the gates with an extremely difficult birdie put on hole number one. Ryan Spencer smashed several 300+ yard drives including one that reach 350 yards on hole number 18. Overall the event was a great success and the RMF team Finished Strong!
